When the Accord Group asked to run the first Novotel in Romania I refused. Until they called again after 14 days….   I discussed with my wife and until now we have no regrets and we are happy that we took that decision. Romania has a lot of opportunities and almost unlimited possibilities. In February 2006 we came to Bucuresti and from we opened the first Novotel in Bucuresti on 1 September 2006 after hiring 190 people.  

One year later we host the “Belgian Connection”.  Our first main event with the guys from Belgian Connection was a “Dinner with Mussels” with more then 200 people attending.  Since then we have given our support to this unique event.  It offers networking possibilities beyond the existing business clubs in Bucuresti.  Belgian Connection is unique in it’s approach.   Frederik Deman, Novotel Bucuresti
